What Did I Do To Prepare For My Coming SA2 Exams

The SA2 exams are just around the corner. What have you done to prepare for them? For me, I did some Maths and Science assesments books. I also prepared for my English and Chinese oral by reading my storybooks aloud. I hope that I can get above ninety-eight marks for my Science as it is my best and favourite subject.

My September Break

The September holidays just flew by again! What did you do?

On Wednesday and Thursday, I participated in a P4 Student Leader/Monitor and Monitress camp. On the first day, we went to Temasek Secondary school. We played many interesting games there! The games were conducted by the PSL (Peer Support Leaders) there. At six o’ clock, we returned to Kong Hwa School. We took a shower and ate dinner. After that, we had a song session and night walk. It was very fun but the night walk was not very scary. On the second day, we had an obstacle course and team building. It was fun. For the team building, we had to use newspapers and masking tape to construct the tallest structure. Then we had the outdoor cooking session. We cooked Maggie Mee for lunch. I enjoyed the whole camp and I hope to participate in more camps again.

My Birthday Present

Today, I went to the shop in science centre. The shop is called ‘Curiosity’. I went there to buy my birthday present. Although my birthday was almost one month ago, I have not bought a birthday present. After much consideration, I decided to buy a ‘Spy secret message kit’. There are many cool things inside the kit like the Morse code flashlight, invisible message writer, Spy International ID card, encryption note sheets, ect. I like my birthday present very much.

A Trip to the Art Gallery

Yesterday, our teacher brought us to the Art Gallery. We arrived at about 10.30a.m. We waited until 11 o'clock before going inside the exhibition. In the exhibition, there were many drawings by other children from other schools. They drew pictures of people, places, animals and many other things. Their drawings were very nice. The picture that I liked the most is the drawing of the birds. At about 12 o’clock, we left the Art Gallery happily.

Table Tennis Tournament

Last week, during the National Table Tennis Tournament at Chongfu Primary School, we won all our opponents and got into the quarter-finals. During the quarter-finals, we won three out of the four schools that we played with. The school that we lost to was Chongfu Primary School. They were very good. On Thursday were the semi-finals and the 3rd and 4th match. During the semi-finals, we played against Nanyang Primary School. We lost to them too! When it was the 3rd and 4th match, we played with Ai Tong School. I played the first singles. During the first game, I was a little nervous as I started out losing. In the end, I catched up and won 3:0.

Overall, we won them 3:1. I was very happy as I thought that we would lose. In this competition, we got 3rd. I can not wait to get my trophy on the 18th of July!

A Trip to Science Centre

On Thursday, our Chinese teacher brought us to the Science Centre. We went to an exhibition called “China 7000 Years of Innovation”. Inside the exhibit, there were different sections like, astronomy, navigation, gun power, paper making, printing, mechanics, bronze casting, weaving, ceramics, architecture and TCM. At the paper making part, a man demonstrated how to make paper. First, he mixed the pulp. Then, he used a net to take a thin layer of pulp and put it on the table. He repeated this process and stacked the thin layer of pulp together. Then he separated the pulp and let it dry. Then, the paper is finished. At about four-thirty, we left the Science Centre. All of us wished that we could stay a little longer.
